Copper on the tip of everyone’s tongues!
Like all good things in life, our exhibition Copper Essential for Everyone has also come to an end. We’ve had an amazing three days at the European Parliament. More than 70 people participated in the debate on how to achieve the right balance between European policies on sustainability and a competitive European copper industry. We didn’t get all the answers but it certainly was an eye-opening discussion which will hopefully lead to an ongoing dialogue between the industry, the institutions and NGOs. During the debate we’ve also launched our Copper Manifesto outlining the key principles for a successful copper industry in Europe.
The opening of the exhibition gathered more than 350 people from all walks of Brussels: MEPs, Commission officials, Ambassadors, industry representatives… The feedback has been very encouraging and we hope that all visitors walked out of the exhibition knowing a little bit more about why copper is so important in our lives. And will spread the word about it!
If you’ve enjoyed our exhibition and debate please let us know… If you haven’t please let us know too – and in particular let us know how could we have made it more interesting for you.
But this is not an “au revoir”. This channel will remain open for sharing information and ideas, so watch this space for further updates.
